Terms of Service

Effective September 12, 2026 · Version 2026-09-12

Hourwell’s free tools are publicly available. Pro subscriptions are currently paused and checkout is disabled. The Pro terms below describe the planned paid service and will apply when subscriptions become available.

1. Your agreement and account

These terms govern your use of Hourwell, operated by the Hourwell site owner. When you create an Hourwell account or choose to subscribe, you must affirmatively accept these terms. Only create an account if you can legally enter into this agreement, or have a parent or guardian’s permission where permitted by law. A free account does not enroll you in a paid subscription.

Hourwell uses a one-time email code to identify your account. Keep your email account secure, never share sign-in codes, and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share another person’s private information without permission.

2. What Hourwell does

Hourwell calculates work hours and estimated earnings using the shifts, breaks, hourly rates, and adjustments you enter. Pro adds compensation tracking, adjustment history, and pay-period reports. Free features include the weekly calculator, saved timesheets, printing, and timesheet downloads.

Figures are estimates before tax using your entered flat hourly rate. Hourwell does not automatically apply overtime, minimum-wage rules, benefit deductions, tax rules, or employer-specific payroll requirements. Verify results against your records and payslips. Hourwell is not payroll processing or legal, tax, accounting, employment, or financial advice. Keep your own copies of important records.

3. Pro pricing and recurring billing

The proposed price is $4.99 USD per month, billed when you subscribe and every month afterward until canceled. There is no free trial. Any applicable taxes must be disclosed in checkout before payment. Checkout is currently disabled; no new subscription can be purchased.

Creating a free account does not authorize recurring payments. Starting Pro requires a separate affirmative agreement to recurring billing. Stripe processes payments. Pro access is granted only after the payment provider confirms an active subscription. Failed or overdue payments may interrupt Pro access.

4. Canceling and refunds

You can cancel online through My account → Subscription → Manage billing / cancel. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid another charge. Cancellation stops future renewals; Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period. You can retain a free account and its free features after canceling. Closing the browser or signing out does not cancel a subscription.

Payments for a billing period are generally nonrefundable once that period begins, except where applicable law requires a refund or the operator agrees otherwise. This does not limit mandatory consumer cancellation or refund rights.

5. Your content and acceptable use

You retain ownership of the information you enter and permit Hourwell and its service providers to process it to operate the service. Do not use Hourwell unlawfully, misrepresent records, attempt to access another user’s data, disrupt the service, or bypass its security or subscription controls.

6. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a useful, accurate service, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or error-free calculations. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Hourwell is provided as available without additional warranties, and the operator is not responsible for indirect losses caused by reliance on estimates or service interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your mandatory statutory rights.

7. Changes and suspension

Features and terms may change. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect, with renewed consent where required. Subscription price changes will be disclosed before any affected renewal. Accounts may be restricted for misuse or security reasons. You can stop using the service and cancel your subscription if you disagree with future changes.

8. Privacy and contact

See the Privacy Notice for how information is used. For questions, help, data requests, or billing issues, contact Hourwell at jcjohnson1106@gmail.com.
