Free weekly timesheet calculator with breaks

Use Workpindle to calculate hours worked, subtract unpaid breaks, and estimate weekly pay. Enter each shift’s start and end time, add breaks in minutes, and leave days off blank. Download a CSV timesheet or print your week without creating an account.

How to calculate work hours

Hours worked = shift length − unpaid breaks. For example, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM is 8 hours 30 minutes. Subtract a 30-minute unpaid lunch to get 8 hours worked.

Add each day’s net hours for your weekly total. A week with shifts of 8 hours, 7 hours 30 minutes, and 6 hours totals 21 hours 30 minutes, or 21.5 decimal hours.

Estimate pay across different jobs

Multiply hours by the applicable hourly rate. At $20 per hour, 21.5 hours is an estimated $430 before taxes and deductions. For multiple jobs, add separate shifts and rates; Workpindle adds their estimated earnings together.

Pay estimates do not automatically include overtime premiums. The calculator does not process payroll or issue payments.

Can I calculate a shift that crosses midnight?

Yes. Enter the shift on the day it starts. When the end time is earlier than the start time, it is treated as the following day. For example, 10 PM to 6 AM with a 30-minute unpaid break is 7 hours 30 minutes.

Do I need an account to save or download a timesheet?

Downloading a CSV and printing are free without an account. Sign in with a free account to save weeks and return to them on another device.
